As we mark the third anniversary of the disappearance of Rebekah Barsotti and her beloved Belgian Malinois, Cerberus, we reflect on a journey of courage, resilience, and the unwavering pursuit of justice.
As we mark the third anniversary of the disappearance of Rebekah Barsotti and her beloved Belgian Malinois, Cerberus, we reflect on a journey of courage, resilience, and the unwavering pursuit of justice.
We will soon be embarking on new campaigns regarding reaching out to State Legislators to introduce changes to existing bills/Annotated Code specifically in Montana since that is where Rebekah's experience with Domestic Violence and Missing took place. We have begun reaching out to identify who is interested in assisting in this campaign. 2025 is the Legislative year for Montana. A significant point to remember....WE NEED YOUR HELP. Personally, we do not own property or have a VOTE in Montana. We do have a VOICE and Presence and we are willing to use what we are able. But we are in need of your support, your voice, your presence and your vote in the upcoming elections. Do your best to find out where those running for office stand on issues that are important to you.
We will continue to look for existing DV Organizations that are looking for others to join efforts.
At the present time, we are coordinating efforts specifically in Richmond, VA. We have been provided a list of items that would be beneficial in a "Go Bag" for their clients. We have published it on the Rebekah's Legacy - Justice for Rebekah Facebook page.
If you would be interested in reaching out to your local shelter and asking if a Go Bag is provided what would they want in it? We can get additional Go Bags made and mail them to you.
We have been emotionally knocked down multiple times since September 2023, our last update, but with God's divine guidance and help we do continue to rise above. In December 2023, we again campaigned for donations to be made in Rebekah's Honor/Memory directly to K9 Taskforce. Then in January, the K9 dog that participated in Rebekah's Search event from Northstar required surgery. In March we are featuring Badlands SAR, which many are aware of in Montana and North Dakota. Badlands is especially known for assistance with Indigenous MMIP as well and works closely with MMIW/MMIP Liaisons.
We continue to consider Non-profit status but need to be very careful about the lobbying efforts for DV and Missing Persons. If you have any suggestions or questions of us, please do not hesitate to ask.
Laura Williams has been working diligently to keep both websites active and current. Find Rebekah Barsotti tells the story. Rebekah's Legacy website offers the resources that we have either found or someone has introduced us to them.
We continue forward for ALL Victims/Survivors of Domestic Violence and Missing/Murdered Persons. It could be your loved one, friend or co-worker. We never considered we would be on this walk....that is the unpredictability of life. Our efforts truly take a village. We appreciate your love, prayers, support and anything you can assist with.
Love your family. We simply do not know what tomorrow brings. If you are a person of faith, that will help to get you through.
Much Love and Peace,
Angela and Gerry Mastrovito

In August 2023 I filed a complaint against Walter Congdon and Tracie McMillan for Internet Harassment.
The filing of this complaint in the Missoula District Court IV was a result of multiple communications on Facebook and as private messages received from Ty Freedom and Mac Montana.
It is my understanding Walter Congdon claimed Immunity as Deputy County Attorney and it is my understanding Montana County Insurance Carrier was paying for Mr. Congdon’s legal counsel. To further complicate matters, Tracie McMillan’s counsel was being paid by Farmers Insurance. Apparently, there are several loopholes in the Insurance structure of Montana.
We ultimately requested that this Complaint be Dismissed with Prejudice. Our request was granted. The money pit that we were personally experiencing had the potential to be devastating and create financial ruin. To my knowledge, Walter Congdon and Tracie McMillan did not experience any personal expense and therefore were not financially affected in this Complaint. The unlimited resources from the County Insurance Carrier and Farmers Insurance far surpassed our resources.
After much consideration we realized this was more about an injustice to me, Rebekah’s Mom. It would not bring Justice for Rebekah. Since the Complaint has been dismissed without Prejudice, I am able to speak out about the actions against me that related to Rebekah’s Missing Person Event.
I have included the copy of the Complaint filed for your convenience. It is my understanding this is public record and can be located online. This post is protected under my 1st Amendment Rights and has been reviewed with my Attorney.

Rebekah Barsotti’s Mom, Angela Mastrovito, gives a heart rendering video on her opinion of the recently released Opinion of the Montana Supreme Court’s denial of her appeal. Specifically, the Opinion asserts that Rebekah's husband was tried and acquitted before her disappearance on July 20, 2021. However, this is factually incorrect. The timeline of events clearly indicates that Rebekah went missing on July 20, 2021. Her husband, Appellee, David Barsotti, was acquitted on March 25, 2022, while Rebekah was still missing. Remains were recovered May 17, 2022. Remains were identified on June 2, 2022. This gross misrepresentation of the timeline not only undermines the integrity of the case but also disrespects Rebekah's memory and the suffering of her family.
The Montana Supreme Court changes the factual timeline, provides inaccurate details, and attacks Angela for searching for Rebekah.
The Montana Supreme Court Opinion has profound implications, particularly for victims of domestic violence and missing persons cases.
