November 9, 2022 Update by Angela Mastrovito
It has been 2 months since we were informed that the Montana AG had opened an Investigation. Ironically, one month later, we learned this was FALSE information that was presented in a Court of Law in Missoula, MT before Judge Marks.
We are devastated to say the least. After multiple attempts by our attorney and ourselves to confirm the information, we learned otherwise. What we have learned is that you cannot count on those in Leadership and Public Service (Law Enforcement or the Judicial System) to do the right thing.
Every step of the way we have experienced Obstruction of Justice and Delay in responding to Motions submitted to the Courts, to the County Attorney office Of Mineral County. We have experienced NO response to CCJI requests. We have had one attempt to defy a Court Order by Ellen Donohue, County Attorney and now Wally Congdon, Deputy County Attorney delayed response to a Motion and Court Order. If I did this, I would be in Contempt of Court.
The Deputy County Attorney has attempted to GASLIGHT me and VICTIM SHAME my daughter. He has spread FALSE information about Rebekah, which I can prove now with correspondence.
We continue to look for Media that will pick up Rebekah’s story. For whatever reason, no one wants it. No one wants to admit there was history of Domestic Violence and a PFMA charge when she went missing. You have to ask WHY? You have to ask is their CORRUPTION involved.? By now, we truly could label this case as Legal Extortion. We get nowhere with a request. It requires Legal Counsel to intervene every step of the way.
NO ONE listened, when they said “Rebekah’s things were left at the riverbank”. The shirt on the riverbank looked like nothing in her closet of clothing.
NO ONE listened, when I said the items were staged. A driver’s license and credit card face up lined up like a ruler was used.
NO ONE listened, when we were informed “Rebekah” was found in spandex shorts and a black sports bra with geometric designs. Rebekah was last seen in blue jean shorts and a tank top on a 95 degree day. Rebekah didn’t wear spandex out in public and since there were no shorts found at the riverbank or a tanktop then the Sheriff’s department can’t ASSUME once again that she took them off. And at 95 degrees it was way too hot for spandex and blue jean shorts. Those items are also not on the vehicle inventory.
NO
NO ONE is listening……There will be JUSTICE for Rebekah…..There will be Laws changed in Rebekah’s name.
- We will endeavor to get support to change the Separation Law in Montana. Rebekah was separated 132 days. Montana Law requires 180 days to file for separation. There should be an Escape Clause when there is a history of Domestic Violence.
- When a person is MISSING and found Dead and there was a history of Domestic Violence, the estranged partner should not automatically be granted Personal Representative. That person was not acting in the Missing Person’s best interest when they were together. Why on earth would you grant them this position after they are dead.
- When a person is MISSING and there is a PFMA/Domestic Abuse Trial – the Jury SHOULD be informed that the person is MISSING. That should be essential information provided. Paul Ryan made it sound like Rebekah couldn’t be bothered to attend a hearing she requested.
NO ONE listened when I said the Autopsy documentation is incorrect if this is my daughter.
This is where we are at. We are still paying legal fees. We hope to be able to continue our pursuit for Justice. We are transitioning to Rebekah’s Legacy. Although we spoke of making a Non-Profit that will not be happening at this time. After much research it is costly. It requires a board of people who are not only dedicated but will commit to the foundation financially. In the state of Virginia, the board has to have 5 people to be considered worthy of donations from other Corporations/businesses. We haven’t given up. We will continue to move forward with Rebekah’s Legacy, seeking other options.
Thankyou ahead of time to each of you that have donated and continue to support our cause. Please continue to keep us in prayer. Our efforts are for the next victim.
Shalom –
(May the Peace of God destroy the authority of chaos)

I am preparing for yet another court date as I write this Update to GoFundMe. First and foremost, thankyou for your continued support in our cause….yes, according to the State Crime Lab Rebekah was found but we have many questions, that to this day have gone unanswered.
There was no DNA test performed that provided a match. I am not sure I understand why. I submitted mitochondrial DNA, her father submitted DNA and they had a body. Meaning, they had tissue samples, bone marrow and teeth. I find it difficult to understand WHY there was no match. I was informed the Identification was confirmed by dental records. NAMUS had panoramic films on file from 3 different dentists. There were discrepancies in documentation of physical characteristics and no where on the Autopsy Report did it identify HOW Rebekah was identified.
We are caught in a storm of what I would consider legal extortion. Despite Court Orders, we continue to return to court regarding the same issues.
We finally returned to our home state but the nightmare has not stopped. Mineral County waited til we left Montana (we were there for 12 months) before stating they were ready to release items of Rebekah’s. At some point, none of this is coincidence anymore. Nathan Jacobsen has come forward and provided audio clips, video clips and firsthand account of the threat that the trailer we were staying in (Rebekah’s rented trailer) was highly combustible. Our attorney was informed that our home in Virginia was to be burned down. There are now photographs on Hidden True Crime that show evidence that although there was a “Standing Order of No Contact”, somehow David Barsotti had photographs showing the contents of the trailer. Was he stalking Rebekah? Were their cameras in strategic locations at the trailer? Did he have a tracker on her vehicle? We will never know. The trailer has been returned to the rental agency. Rebekah’s vehicle has been returned to David.
Despite having a court order for a 2nd Autopsy, each time I thought I had one scheduled there was another roadblock. In the end, all that could be done was to review the first autopsy report because the body was too badly decomposed to perform a 2nd autopsy. Who ever is working the Daybell Case needs to take note. It is my understanding the children’s bodies are being held for a 2nd Autopsy. I hope the SCL handling that case is better prepared and equipped to maintain the evidence.
At this writing there is a letter circulating around Mineral County identifying the corruption of the County and within the Sheriff Department. This letter originated from a local attorney who was born and raised in Mineral County and can no longer stand by and witness the infringement of Constitutional Rights of the citizens.
I have been accused of “profiteering” off my daughter’s name. I am more than willing to give an expense account which will show there is no profit but in fact a huge deficit. I don’t ask for money well. That is why I am not in sales. But it is necessary to continue our
Pursuit of Justice. Not only Justice for Rebekah but Justice for those who will fall prey in the future to Domestic Violence, to Missing Persons or to Obstruction of Justice.
You might ask why are we fighting so hard and so long? Because what is happening to us could happen to anyone else reading this. It could be your family member. We hope that by shedding light on the darkness it will be destroyed. We do need financial assistance to do this though. The legal fees are exorbitant.
We continue to research HOW we can establish Rebekah’s Legacy as a non-profit. We are in need of a PRO BONO attorney for this endeavor. If you can be of assistance please contact me.
God Bless each and everyone of you. We so appreciate your prayer support and the notes of encouragement as well.
July 8, 2022 - Update From Rebekah's Mom, Angela
Rebekah Grace Rose Barsotti was recovered from the riverbank of the Clark Fork River on May 17, 2022. Identified on June 2, 2022. We still wait for the 1st Autopsy results and the opportunity to have a 2nd Autopsy performed. It is presently hung up in the Court System, despite receiving permission in May. I took time to find a Private Pathologist. Then when we did, parameters were set in place and we had to work within those parameters.
Hidden True Crime has been a beneficial social media platform in getting Rebekah's story out, for which we are grateful. Law Enforcement remains uninvolved at this time.
We still face legal fees. We still face transportation and lodging expenses that normally we would not have. We are embarking on a new journey. Rebekah's Legacy. FindRebekahBarsotti.com will remain active. Facebook page FindRebekahBarsotti will remain active as people are still contacting us with new information that needs to be processed.
A Memorial in Montana and Virginia will be in the future. I don't have dates yet. At this time, the uncertainty and energy devoted to the court system precludes those arrangements.
We are humbled and grateful at the continued support Rebekah receives throughout Montana, Virginia and literally the world. May Rebekah's Light and Love be a catalyst to change lives, hearts and laws around Domestic Violence and Missing Persons.

June 2, 2022 - Update by Shanna Evje
Rebekah has been found. 317 days ago she went missing. 311 days ago Cerberus - her best friend, her protector – was found; deceased. 16 days ago a body was recovered near the bank of the Clark Fork River. Today that body has been officially identified as Rebekah Grace Barsotti. The cause and circumstances surrounding Rebekah’s death are still under investigation. This platform has become a beautiful community; a circle of supporters, believers, a fellowship of friends. Here we have banded together to speak on behalf of a woman who could no longer speak for herself. And in the midst of this moment, let me simply say thank you. We don’t know what will come next. We don’t know what answers will be revealed, nor what questions will remain as the family awaits further details from an official autopsy report. However tonight we know with absolute certainty Rebekah is free of pain and suffering. Her whereabouts no longer remain a mystery. And tonight we hold in our hearts our continued commitment to her story, to the truth and to light in the face of darkness.
Dear Rebekah – I hope you watch your legacy unfold with a smile. It is all as it should be. Look at what you’ve created. We miss you terribly dear one. Light a candle. Say a prayer. Hold those you love as close as you can.
Everyone here is so cherished. Thank you for supporting Angela + Gerry. Tonight they are not advocates fighting against insurmountable odds. Tonight they are simply grieving parents.

Rebekah Grace Rose, known by her married name of Rebekah Barsotti, went missing July 20, 2021.
Angela and Gerry Mastrovito, Rebekah's parents - are devastated.
Here is what they know:
Rebekah's parents say in March of 2021 she placed a 911 call for help; it was a call about domestic abuse, Rebekah was being assaulted. Rebekah informed her mother that Rebekah’s husband was legally removed from the premises. Due to the assault against Rebekah, Rebekah's husband was incarcerated in Mineral County jail for three nights.
Following the assault on March 9th, 2021 - in which authorities became involved; resulting in a "Partner / Family Member Assault Charge" against Rebekah's husband and a "Standing Order Of No Contact" between them - Rebekah's parents say she moved from her martial home in Superior, Montana to Missoula, Montana. Her parents say she was fleeing the abusive marriage. Rebekah's mom and stepdad say Rebekah expressed fear of her estranged husband. Rebekah’s best friend Cerberus, a male Belgian Malinois, had been trained to protect her from harm.
On July 20th, 2021 - Rebekah's parents were informed Rebekah was officially missing; her status as dead or alive could not be confirmed as her location and condition was not known.
Rebekah's parents were informed authorities found her car parked at a rest stop along the Clark Fork River near mile marker 72 on Interstate 90. That day she had driven with her dog from Missoula to Superior to gather the last of her things from her martial home via a third party person handoff - as the "Standing Order Of No Contact" was in place and Rebekah and her estranged husband were legally prohibited from meeting in person. As the family understands it, this third party handoff-person was the last person to see Rebekah alive. It is reported this third party person met Rebekah at Town Pump in Superior around 2:15 pm and then Rebekah and her dog Cerberus were never seen again.
Rebekah's parents say it appeared as though Rebekah and her dog had stopped along the Clark Fork River, at mile marker 72 on Interstate 90, and that they potentially had been swept down stream or drowned. It was reported that Rebekah's vehicle and some of her personal items were found at this location. They say there is a video - taken by Rebekah on her own phone, which was also found - of Rebekah training Cerberus on the beach of the river at this location around 3:15 pm, July 20, 2021. Six days later, on July 26, 2021, Cerberus - Rebekah's beloved dog - was found deceased along the edge of this river, by local authorities, about ten miles downstream from mile marker 72. Authorities say it appeared as though Cerberus had drowned; an official necropsy was never performed. In a state of shock Rebekah's parents say they opted to have Cerberus cremated because they had been informed the dog was too badly decomposed to benefit from an official necropsy or toxicology report. Results from an official postmortem examination of Rebekah's dog are not known.
Rebekah's mother and stepfather, Angela and Gerry Mastrovito, her father Ralph Rose, brother Antonio Alatorre, and all members of her extended family, love this woman – Rebekah Grace Barsotti – dearly. They describe this journey as “a tsunami, earthquake and hurricane occurring at the same time.”
...
To this day Rebekah, and any trace of her physical being remains unfound.
To this day Rebekah remains officially missing without anyone knowing what really happened to her and for her parents this is unbearable; it's an unacceptable conclusion. Possible scenarios other than that of a potential river accident have yet to be investigated, including the potentiality of events such as abduction, a human trafficking related incident, or possible scenarios relating to the fact that the rest stop where Rebekah’s car and belongings were found is a high use truck stop area and a high use fishing access site with countless individuals frequenting an area open to opportunities for harm. Rebekah’s family seeks for every possibility relating to what could have occurred in the disappearance of their daughter to be examined thoroughly so that each and every scenario might be ruled out and eliminated.
Those closest to Rebekah, her mother and stepfather, Angela and Gerry Mastrovito, as well as her beloved father, Ralph Rose, hail from Virginia. Her beloved big brother, Antonio Alatorre hails from Pennsylvania. Extended family, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends live in the eastern region of the United States. Angela and Gerry Mastrovito are now transplants to the Missoula community; they're here searching for a lost daughter; and they can't quit, they can't give up. Those closest to Rebekah also hail from Montana; friends, co-workers, relationships she built over ten years of living in and around the state. Rebekah was a Montana local. She was hardworking and professional. Rebekah was kind and warm. She had a tremendous heart. Rebekah's entire family is deeply grateful for all those who care for her and who continue to commit to her - local authorities, countless volunteers, strangers turned friends, allies of Rebekah, and all those who continue to search for her; who continue to make certain that a woman from Montana, a member of this community, is simply not allowed to vanish without questions being answered. The process is draining emotionally, mentally, physically and financially for all involved.
Rebekah's parents simply can't accept an incomplete ending; a version of events where their daughter dies mysteriously in a river accident without proof, without any real evidence that Rebekah actually entered the water that day on her own volition, or even that she entered the water at all. Rebekah’s parents know there's more to unearth before a lost daughter remains gone forever; never to be touched, or held or hugged again. On her behalf Rebekah's parents have to fight for a comprehensive search; they have to fight to include in the story of her disappearance the story and the truth of her past.
To this day the Clark Fork River has revealed no trace of Rebekah's body. Hundreds of individuals; local authorities, river professionals, volunteers, family and friends have searched tirelessly over every stretch of the river, over countless hours, and found nothing. No trace of Rebekah’s body has ever been found in the water. Rebekah's parents are distraught and they have to ask hard questions. They have to ask to search not only the river but beyond, into every possibility of events, because when a woman fears she'll be made to disappear and then she actually does; when that daughter who was scared literally is plucked from our worlds without proof, without facts evincing what actually happened then no question is too uncomfortable, no answer is too far out of reach, and no parent can sleep until they've done absolutely everything they know is necessary. Rebekah's parents seek for every possibility to be examined thoroughly, with the highest degree of integrity, and they need help with lodging and legal fees. They need help as they continue to push for an all-inclusive look at her story, at what may have happened to her, and at how she might be brought home
